Fight against impunity
Signing of the Ljubljana-Hague Convention on International Cooperation in the Investigation and Prosecution of the Crime of Genocide, Crimes against Humanity, War Crimes and other International Crimes (February 14, 2024)
France is among the nations that signed the Ljubljana-Hague Convention on International Cooperation in the Investigation and Prosecution of the Crime of Genocide, Crimes against Humanity, War Crimes and other International Crimes on February 14.
This agreement represents a major milestone in the fight against impunity for the perpetrators of the most serious crimes. It will help strengthen legal cooperation between states on a long-term basis, as well as the work of the International Criminal Court.
In keeping with its longstanding commitments, France will continue its resolute efforts to combat impunity, a fight that is essential to obtaining justice for victims. It calls on all nations to sign and ratify this convention.
